SINGAPORE – Fabric manufacturer Säntis Textiles reports that last year it recycled more than 100,000 tonnes of pre- and post-consumer cotton waste.
The firm’s creative director, Annabelle Hutter, says: “Our figures clearly reveal the demand and necessity for textile sustainability and circularity is more prominent than ever before.”
Säntis introduced its 100 per cent recycled fibre RCO100 to the market in 2016, with the likes of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger going on to adopt the ‘sustainable’ fibre.
