LEEDS - The Future Fashion Factory research and development programme has secured more than £1 million (US$1.3m) in funding for new sustainable fashion and textile innovation projects.
The money, secured through the organisatiton’s fourth Innovation Funding Call, will support 12 projects and brings the total investment now raised through grant calls to more than £3.3 million (US£4.4m).
They include bids to use waste as a raw material, integrate AI into design and manufacturing, and develop the UK’s agile manufacturing and product development capabilities to support re-shoring.
