BRATISLAVA – An apparel waste collection company in Slovakia has reported that integrating sensors in donation bins dramatically improved the efficiency of its service.
Ekocharita, which manages more than 800 bins across the country, adopted Sensoneo’s technology to establish greater oversight of its containers, enabling drivers to respond more quickly to those that are full.
More than six months in, the firm says that it’s decreased the time required to collect one tonne of textile waste by 30 per cent and has cut the costs by 20 per cent.
