NEW YORK – US apparel firm Tapestry, which owns the Coach and Kate Spade brands, has detailed new targets to accelerate its sustainability work, and has established the Tapestry Foundation – an organisation “committed to stretching what's possible by supporting social and environmental programmes”.
Tapestry has made an initial contribution of US$25 million to the foundation, which will take the reins on company-wide programmes previously led by the Coach Foundation.
Anne Gates, Tapestry’s independent director, has joined a board of directors that’ll spearhead its work. She said: “To effect real and lasting change, we will address some of the complex challenges our global communities are facing, notably equity, inclusion and the climate crisis.”
