AMSTERDAM – Sustainability organisation Fashion for Good (FFG) has concluded its Viscose Traceability Pilot, and validated that blockchain technology can be used to track the movement of goods throughout supply chains.
Executed with the support of fashion companies Kering and Bestseller, the pilot study leveraged TextileGenesis’ immutable blockchain platform to determine whether such solutions could improve transparency within the industry.
FFG says the real-world study verifies the flexibility, interoperability and scalability of this technology, which it’ll now test for organic cotton and recycled polyester.
