PARIS – Bioplastics firm Carbios has announced that a non-binding expression of intent agreement has been signed with an unnamed but “significant” PET producer.
Any official deal would relate to the establishment of a first-of-its-kind 100 per cent PET recycling unit, based on the company’s novel enzymatic depolymerisation process.
Carbios’ deputy CEO, Martin Stephan, said: “We are delighted to be engaged in strategic discussions with this important PET producer. The building of this recycling facility is a major step in Carbios’ development.”
