MILAN - Luxury skiwear brand Moncler has launched a new sustainability plan including commitments to be carbon neutral in its own operations worldwide by 2021 and to use 100 per cent renewable energy by 2023.
Entitled 'Born to Protect', the plan is designed to further integrate social and environmental responsibility into the company's business model and focuses on five key areas: climate action, circular economy, fair sourcing, diversity, and local communities.
In terms of circularity, Moncler says it will start recycling down from next year, recycle 80 per cent of its nylon fabric scraps by 2023, use 50 per cent sustainable nylon by 2025 and eliminate single use plastic by 2023.
