BERLIN – European fashion platform Zalando says it is accelerating its efforts to meet the needs of the growing number of its customers demanding more sustainable fashion.
The online retailer has increased the number of items classed as 'sustainable' available from 27,000 to more than 60,000 after the number of people buying them more than doubled to 40 per cent since the beginning of 2020.
Zalando has also launched 'redeZIGN for Circularity', the company's first capsule collection designed with circularity in mind, in partnership with sustainable fashion innovation platform, Fashion for Good, and Berlin-based startup, circular.fashion.
