LONDON – Fashion brands and retailers Next, Ted Baker, Matalan and New Look have announced bans over the use of alpaca fibre in their respective clothing collections.
The companies follow the likes of Marks & Spencer, Esprit and most recently Nordstrom in making the decision. It follows an exposé from animal rights group PETA which unearthed gross malpractice at the site of Mallkini, the world’s largest alpaca farm.
