WASHINGTON – Sportswear brand Nike is joined by the likes of Microsoft, Starbucks and Mercedes-Benz as a founding member of a new initiative that’s set out to accelerate to transition to a net zero global economy.
Called the Transform to Net Zero initiative, it’s work will focus on developing and delivering research, guidance and roadmaps to enable these business heavyweights – along with others which opt to join – to reach net zero emissions.
“When it comes to protecting the playing field we share – our planet – there isn’t a moment to lose. That’s why we aren’t waiting for solutions to climate change, we’re coming together as global leaders to create them,” said Nike CEO, Andy Campion.
