AMSTERDAM - The Dutch Agreement on Sustainable Garments and Textile is calling on brands and retailers to to comply with their international social responsibilities during the coronavirus crisis.
It says the basic principles should be to protect the income of workers in the garment and textile sector, to guarantee their health and safety, and to make the supply chain future-proof.
The coalition, which aims to improve working conditions, prevent pollution and promote animal welfare in production countries, made a series of demands of purchasing companies.
