GREENSBORO - Textile solutions provider Unifi has achieved a key goal after revealing it has now transformed more than 20 billion PET bottles - enough to circle the Earth 100 times - into recycled yarns.
The company, which set itself the target back in 2017, achieved it through its 'Repreve' recycled performance fibres which have been adopted by more than 500 global brand and textile partners.
Unify also revealed that it remains on track toward meeting its next goal of recycling 30 billion PET bottles into textiles by 2022.
