BRUSSELS - The European Coalition for Corporate Justice (ECCJ) is calling for any European Union (EU) corporate bailouts to help companies survive the coronavirus crisis to be linked to environmental and social commitments.
It is also calling on the EU to introduce mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence legislation to make supply chains more resilient, and for improved access to remedy for victims of corporate abuse.
The ECCJ, which brings together NGOs, trade unions, consumer organisations and academics to promote corporate accountability, makes the calls in a new report entitled From impossible to inevitable: corporate justice in times of COVID-19.
