BANGKOK – The Sustainable Apparel Coalition's (SAC) general member's meeting is the latest casualty of the coronavirus outbreak as global textile and fashion events are either cancelled or postponed in the wake of advice from health officials trying to counter the threat of a global pandemic.
The SAC's Bangkok event, which was set to go ahead in June, joins the likes of Copenhagen Fashion Summit, Intertextile Shanghai, FESPA and Kingpins Hong Kong in choosing to reschedule its conference.
This is just one of a number of similar events that have either been postponed or cancelled in the wake of the corona outbreak – or the desire to reduce carbon emissions – including Planet Textiles 2020.
