BANGKOK – Global chemicals producer Indorama Ventures has announced its commitment to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s New Plastics Economy, a project which vies to create a circular economy for plastics in circulation.
The project’s focus is three-fold; focusing on eradicating ‘unnecessary’ plastic items, innovating to ensure products are recyclable and reusable, and keeping products in use out of landfills.
This effort aligns well with Indorama’s mission-statement, which saw the company create an investment programme totalling US$1.5 billion earlier this year, which will be set aside for recycling initiatives.
