JYVASKYLA - Finnish fibre company Spinnova has raised new growth capital of 11 million euros which it says will enable it to look towards commercialising what it claims will be the world’s most sustainable textile fibre.
Spinnova has patented a disruptive technology which it says enables it to make a cellulose-based fibre with no potentially hazardous chemicals or waste in the production process.
The company has now completed a financing round which it says will ensure it can take the product towards the commercial phase without the need for further investment.
