ECHA – Public consultation on microplastics restriction

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) gives an update on a proposed restriction for placing on the market of intentionally-added microplastics. This proposal was submitted to ECHA’s scientific committees on 11 January 2019.

The proposal is expected to prevent the release of 500,000 tonnes of microplastics over 20 years.
