WEIMAR – The UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) executive secretary, Patricia Espinosa, has discussed the importance of the circular economy business model if protection of the climate is to become a realistic goal, in a wide-ranging speech given at Germany’s Bauhaus University.
The Mexican politician noted that “developed economies, especially when times are good, love to simply throw away what they don’t use,” in an address extolling the virtues of “re-use, re-manufacturing and recycling” for businesses and the public alike.
