BRUSSELS – A public consultation launched by the European Commission will examine the potential for the restriction of a huge range of substances found in some textiles and apparel that are classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction. Any restricted substances would be quickly added to a specific appendix to Annex XVII of existing REACH regulations.
