SAN FRANCISCO – The Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), has unveiled the eagerly awaited version 2.0 of its Higg Index, which uses a new web-based interface and adds the ability for users to share sustainability data between entire textile supply chains. It also adds a new module for social compliance, and claims to improve brand and facility assessments by considering the environmental and chemical impacts of tier 2 level textile suppliers.
