MICHIGAN - Post-industrial recycled cotton is among an array of sustainable materials used in the latest Ford F-Series trucks, the 2014 version of which will use the equivalent of around ten pairs of jeans and 26 bath towels - or 31 T-shirts - as carpet insulation or sound absorber. Ford is also using plastic reinforced with rice hulls - a by-product of rice grain - in an electrical harness in the 2014 F-150.
