PORTO-NOVO – The Aid by Trade Foundation has temporarily suspended the verification of its Cotton Made in Africa (CmiA) program in Benin, west Africa with immediate effect. The move comes after the country’s government changed the framework conditions for the cotton sector such that the CmiA sustainability criteria could no longer be assured.
