LONDON – Marks & Spencer is to source 50% of its cotton from sustainable sources by 2020 including Fairtrade, recycled, organic and BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) cotton. The target was revealed in the company’s new How we do Business report, outlining the first five years of progress of its Plan A, 180 commitment eco and ethical programme, which states that 138 commitments have been achieved and a further 30 are ‘on plan’.
