MUNICH - Visitors to the Munich Fabric Start exhibition, which took place in sub-zero temperature Germany this week, were warmed by the event’s growing dedication to those fabric buyers and specifiers looking to source environmentally friendly textiles.
What began as a nod in the direction of sustainability at the exhibition’s inception some years ago has now evolved into a fully fledged ‘exhibition within an exhibition’, complete with Eco-Village housing representatives of some of the industry’s leading ecotextile labels and certifiers alongside a dedicated trend and seminar program and an ‘Organic Selection’ display showcasing those exhibitors that provide materials made with environmentally sound textiles.
